Investing in custom photography is something you will never regret. Babies grow, children change and families should capture these fleeting times. My goal is for you to receive personal attention from the time you first schedule your session, during the shoot and finally when you receive your images.
In planning your custom session, here are a few F.A.Q.s that may help in the process...
Q: Where should we hold our session?
A: There are many great locations in our area. Parks, courtyards, farms, bridges and downtown areas all make for great backdrops. Another wonderful option to consider is your home! Children (especially littles) seem the most comfortable in familiar environments.
Q: What should we wear?
A: Be comfortable! My sessions are rarely "sit and smile" in style. We will be walking, sitting and kids will definitely run, jump and play! If you are scheduling a family session, the days of everyone matching are long gone! I have found the "three colors and a pop" rule to be helpful. But, of course, rules are made to be broken!
Very young babies are best photographed in only a diaper cover, wrapped in a blanket or in their birthday suit! Clothes seem to swallow them at this age so less is more when it comes to capturing those sweet baby rolls, wrinkles and dimples!
Q: What time of day works best?
A: Early morning and late afternoon are lovely and sunset light is always beautiful. Depending on the location, we can schedule around whenever it works best for your family. I do suggest young children be well rested and fed.
Q: How soon after my session can I view my proofs?
A: Most proof galleries are ready within a week to ten days.
Q: How will I receive my pictures?
A: I sell only digital images. A digital image is a high resolution .JPEG file that you will download from a password protected gallery on my website. Once you have done that, you can print, enlarge, post and share your images...they belong to you! You can choose the printing lab of your choice or I can give you some recommendations.
Q: Do you photograph events?
A: Yes, I love to capture the action in stage productions, parties or community events! Contact me directly for event pricing.
Thank you for considering me as your photographer. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions!
